SAUG Chairperson & Senior Business Analyst, Qenos Pty Ltd
Grahame is a trained Electrical Engineer and has a Masters Degree in Engineering Management. With 20 years experience in manufacturing across the food and petrochemical industries, he is currently working for Qenos Pty Ltd as a SAP Analyst and Project Manager.
In November 2008, Grahame has been appointed Chairman of the SAP Australian User Group after one year in the role of Treasurer. He initially started with the SAUG over 4 years ago in the role of Upgrades SIG Lead and then as the Supply Chain SIG Lead. He has been a committee member for four years and prior to that he was the coordinator for all SIG activity.

SAPs Corporate Ambassador
Former Australian Cricket Captain Mark Taylor has been SAP ANZ’s corporate ambassador for since June 2008. He works with SAP to engage the business community, facilitating a series of leadership discussions centered around themes including innovation, teamwork and excellence.
Mark Taylor played 104 Tests for Australia, including 50 as Captain between 1994 and 1999. In 2003 he was appointed an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO) for his outstanding contribution to cricket and support of organisations involved in fundraising for cancer research.
President and Managing Director, SAP Australia New Zealand
Tim joined SAP in 2003 as Chief Financial and Commercial Officer for ANZ; in 2005 his role was expanded to Chief Operating Officer for ANZ.
In January 2007, Tim was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for SAP across Asia Pacific and Japan. In this role, Tim led the regional deal crafting and commercial development team, and led strategic planning and execution. He was appointed to his present position in early 2008 and has led the ANZ to two consecutive years of record growth.
Tim has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years. He joined SAP from TMP Worldwide where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer for the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that Tim was CFO for Compaq Computer and Investment Director at Compaq’s Venture Capital Fund. Tim has also held senior executive roles at Unisys, Tandem Computers, and GEC ALSTHOM Australia Limited.
Tim is a graduate of Macquarie University, where he completed a Bachelor of Economics degree. He has also undertaken post graduate studies at INSEAD and Deakin University. He is a fellow of CPA Australia, a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Tim is an accomplished sportsman having played representative cricket. He is non-executive Chairman of Insite Organisation Pty Ltd which is an integrated marketing communications business, and a professional mentor at CPA Australia.

He is now the A/NZ Leader for the Smart Planet Initiative in IBM Global Business Services, and the City Leader for IBM Global Business Services in Melbourne.
He has been involved extensively in the development, publication and presentation of innovative thought leadership covering a variety of topics of interest to senior executives across Asia Pacific. He has been directly involved in four major CEO studies.
He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, and a Master of Business Administration from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Matt English will share insights from the 2009 IBM Global CIO Study, The New Voice of the CIO. In the largest known sample of face-to-face interviews, over 2,500 CIOs were interviewed globally – in 78 countries and 19 industries - to understand their goals and challenges. 130 CIOs were interviewed across ANZ, and an ANZ PoV developed by IBM's ANZ Strategy & Change Practice. Matts' presentation will share insights into how CIOs can make the biggest impact on behalf of the entire organisation including the % of their time spent on activities that spur innovation and help the business, and findings on ANZ CIOs who were found to be “pragmatic innovators” tending to be pragmatic in their approach and yet are savvy in terms of selecting and using technology.

The session provides an informal opportunity for SAUG ordinary members to collaborate on key focus areas, giving them the opportunity to share ideas and work in partnership for mutual business benefit.

Ben Sebo is a Senior SAP Consultant with over 12 years experience, primarily in
SAP Human Resources, including ESS/MSS, with a focus on the Public Sector. Ben
began his career in the Federal Public Service in Finance and Human Resource
areas. After being involved in one of first SAP HR Public sector implementations
at DIR, Ben joined Deloitte Consulting for two years, and then started his own
company, working on multiple HR Implementations and Upgrades. Most recently Ben
has been working on the DEEWR Connect project with Oxygen, helping DEEWR to
bring together their existing SAP systems into a single system.
DEERW, Team Leader
John joined the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations five years ago to manage the SAP solution. He has been involved with two upgrades and a new implementation for DEEWR including the development of a new portal solution. John is currently responsible for HR & GRC solution.

Merging of 2 previous Commonwealth Departments, DEWR and DEST into DEEWR, resulted in an SAP project to consolidate to a single system, called Connect. The first phase of this was HR, including a new SAP Portal. In building the Connect Portal DEEWR undertook an extensive review and analysis process including drawing on prior learnings and feedback. The goal was to deliver a streamlined, consistent and ultimately more useable experience for staff. This presentation outlines the previous landscape prior to the merge and outlines the steps, actions and decisions taken including the reason/rational for them in order to achieve this goal. This session will discuss what issues DEEWR dealt with when designing/developing an SAP Portal.
