  • Simon Dale

    SAP Asia Pacific Japan
    Head of Innovation Sales, SAP Asia Pacific Japan

    Simon Dale leads a new business area for SAP in APJ focused on our latest innovations. Simon has the responsibility to establish and scale the business for several new strategic solutions and cloud services for SAP in the region, building on the success of the HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC). His portfolio encompasses HEC, S4HANA, the HANA Cloud Platform (HCP), and other emerging cloud solutions. Simon has worked extensively across Asia Pacific for the last thirteen years, introducing new products and services to market. For the past 18 months Simon launched and led the HEC business in APJ, building a dedicated sales and presales team. In 2014, the HEC business contributed 15% of the total cloud business to SAP APJ, with nearly 40 customers using the service in 7 countries. Simon had worked at several companies and start-ups in Europe for twelve years prior to being part of an acquisition by SAP in 2001. A veteran of 25 years in the IT industry, Simon holds a BSc in Computing Science from Staffordshire University, UK, and is currently studying his Masters in Sales Management and Sales Transformation from the University of Middlesex, UK. Simon resides in Singapore, sits on the advisory boards of both the Singapore Management University School of Information Systems as well as the Nanyang Polytechnic School of IT, and is an active mentor and occasional angel investor in several startup accelerator programmes.
  • Peter McLure

    MMG
    Chief Information Officer

    Peter is currently the CIO for MMG. Previously he spent a number of years at BHP Billiton, in a variety of global positions including Group Manager IT Strategy, CIO Marketing and CIO Petroleum.
  • Andy Williams

    AGL
    Head of IT Delivery

    As Head of IT Delivery Andy is responsible for all of AGL’s major IT projects, and for AGL’s rapidly growing digital delivery capability. This includes AGL’s core SAP IS-U, CRM and HANA platforms. Previously Andy was part of the Leadership Team of Contact Energy in New Zealand, running a business-wide SAP-based transformation programme, across their Retail, Generation and Finance businesses. Before moving into these business roles Andy spent twenty years with Accenture, and was responsible for a number of Accenture’s largest utility change programmes in Asia-Pacific, the majority based around SAP IS-U implementations.
  • Gavin Wood

    Newcrest Mining Limited
    Chief Information Officer

    Gavin is CIO at Newcrest Mining. Prior to this role, Gavin has held senior positions at Aurizon, Coles Myer, and David Jones with responsibilities in IT strategy, IT procurement, project delivery, and line management. He is an advocate for mobility, big data, cloud based services, and the use of managed services and has had success in delivering business benefits at Newcrest Mining in these areas, while removing cost from the IT portfolio.

  • John Ruthven

    SAP ANZ
    President and Managing Director

    John Ruthven is President and Managing Director of SAP Australia and New Zealand. In his role, Ruthven is responsible for all customer operations across the two countries, helping organisations of all sizes and across 25 industries to simplify their operations and equip for the increasingly digital and global economy. He joined SAP in January 2014 as the Regional Lead for Cloud and Line of Business Solutions across the SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region. Ruthven transitioned to Chief Operating Officer (COO) for SAP ANZ in August 2014, where he led SAP’s local Presales, Industry Value Engineering and Sales Operations teams. Ruthven has more than 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, in local, regional and global functions across management and sales operations, including Senior Vice President of International Sales at Zuora Inc. and General Manager of Emerging Markets at CA Technologies.
  • Darren Hadfield

    PanAust
    Chief Information Officer

    Darren Hadfield joined PanAust in 2011 as Group Information Systems Manager. He is responsible for leading the company’s Technology Strategy, Planning, Governance and Managing overall IT Operations and Customer Service. His initiatives include improving service delivery, transitioning infrastructure to an outsourced managed services agreement and implementing numerous production systems to support processing and mining operations. He also led the group wide implementation of a SAP Hana in-memory computing platform leveraging Fiori User Interface in a private hosted cloud environment. Prior to joining PanAust, Darren was the Information Systems Business Services Manager with BlueScope Steel responsible for IT Strategic Planning, Customer Engagement, Project Office and Infrastructure Services for the largest manufacturing facility in Australia. In prior roles, Darren worked for BHP as the principle IT auditor responsible for the delivery of all IT risk management and audit activates across the globe, numerous IT Service Delivery Management roles and Microsoft Australia managing global outsourcing vendors.
