Alexandra’s capabilities and strengths are not only in being an expert in the technical domain area, but also in her interpersonal dynamics – specifically her ability to relate to people and break down complex topics, explaining them in a frame that takes the “mystique” out of a topic that traditionally is extremely complex in nature. With great passion for delivering innovative solutions that create true business value, Alexandra has been presenting and writing on the latest SAP technologies: HANA, S/4HANA, BusinessObjects Cloud, Big Data, the Internet of Things, and Digital Transformation.

    Alan joined Super Retail Group (SRG), a Brisbane based speciality retailer operating across Australia and New Zealand as the General Manager for Group Information Services in 2010. He has a broad base of experience across sectors including 10 years with Unilever, Chief Information Officer for Brisbane City Council and Deputy Director General for the information Directorate, New Zealand Ministry of Health. Alan has been active with SAUG in various roles and is currently Chairperson.

    Chief Information Officer

    In his long career, Chris has always been interested in applying technology to operational and commercial opportunities. His technology and leadership experiences span private and public enterprises and his specialties include: Industry Technology, ERP implementation, Six Sigma DMAIC, IT contracts, large scale projects and programs, enterprise architecture, open source, outsourcing, offshore development and the Asia- Pacific environment. As CIO at NSW Police Force, his role is to ensure that modern police are provided with the best technology and instant information access, as well as enabling enhanced community support through social and online initiatives.
  • Michael Dayaseela

    Michael is an experienced BI Architect Manager with over 18 years of experience in the IT Industry, specialising in the last 10 years in SAP BW/BO/BI/HANA. Michael has also been actively involved in the wider BI community including the SAUG Melbourne BI SIG Lead.
  • Owen Coppage

    Owen has over 25 years management and operations experience in the Australian and New Zealand energy industry including high voltage transmission, distribution, hydro generation, LPG sales and distribution, and energy retail customer services. In 2007, Owen was appointed Chief Information Officer, with responsibility for the transformation and simplification of the information technology function within AGL, including continuing as the program director of the Retail SAP system implementation project.
  • Jason Borg

    Jason Borg is Director, Strategy & Support at EPA Victoria and has been at the EPA for nearly 4 years. Prior to his Director role, Jason was the Manager for service reform and before the EPA he was the Director of Go Health and Fitness for 4 years.
  • David Peano

    Chief Information Officer

    David Peano has been CIO of Visy since October 2009. He was promoted to the role after holding numerous senior management positions within Visy over the course of his 20 year career with the company. In his current role, David has overall responsibility for Visy's IT strategies and implementation programs. He oversaw Visy's migration to the Telstra Cloud platform in 2010 and the migration to Google Enterprise Apps as part of a group wide IT transformation plan which will rationalise and simplify all of Visy's IT systems.

    Justin Williams was appointed General Manager for the Southern Region of SAP ANZ in 2012. He joined SAP from Hewlett-Packard (HP) where, as Industry Sales Director - Enterprise Services, he headed up the enterprise services sales teams. Prior to HP, Justin spent eight years at Unisys. Justin is known for his hands-on customer engagement, building high performing teams and generating creative, quality business outcomes for customers.

Mike is excited to be at the forefront of the current revolution in data equipped with Microsoft's leading solutions.

    Lam is part of Oracle's Global SAP team focusing on promoting and helping SAP customers to optimize their SAP deployments with Oracle technology and infrastructure. He has extensive experiences with large SAP implementations, starting on SAP R/3 release 1 in 1992. During the 90's he was part of the SAP Asia's Regional Basis Consulting team and was also awarded Best BASIS Consultant (Regional by Les Hayman (former CEO/President, SAP Asia) in 1997. From 1997 Lam was with the Global Sun-SAP Competency Centre until 2010 when Sun Microsystems became part of the Oracle family.

Previously, Sachi was a Solution Architect for SRM at New South Wales Government (FACS) ITS Template Project, and he has worked with 3PL and 4PL, mining, apparel and footwear, FMCG, Public Sector, health care and education sectors.

    Greg Smith commenced employment with Australia Post as a Maintenance Technician in the late 80s where he advanced to the team leader's position. In 1999 he took on the role as Inventory Controller and PM support which propelled him into the exciting world of SAP. This was followed by a national planning and scheduling position. Greg's current position is the Manager, Engineering SAP Systems.

    Business Needs Manager

    Steve has worked on the CBMS Redevelopment Project at the Department of Finance for over five years, covering the business case, requirements gathering, procurement, blueprinting, system build and testing phases. He also provides subject matter expertise from an agency and central agency perspective on the Federal Budget process as well as providing quality oversight of the system build, ensuring the business requirements are captured and correctly represented in the redeveloped system.
  • Gavin Russell-Rockliff

    Gavin leads the Business Intelligence service line for Avanade Australia. Most of his professional life has been spent in helping people get access to data and information, and has been involved across all phases of Business Intelligence projects for over 13 years. He is looking forward to discussing how the Microsoft BI and Analytics platform is being used by business people, just like you, in their real world scenarios.
