SAUG is delighted to invite our Executive Council members to the next SAUG Executive Council Meeting which will be held in Brisbane on Wednesday, 7th May 2025.

This is our exclusive gathering for SAUG Executive Council members to network, gain and share incomparable insights and influence SAP product directions and leadership. As well as exclusive independent customer insights, international SAP guests and deep dives into SAP latest product announcements, we have revived our very popular discussion style format so that members can ask questions from SAP and other members, on any topics and hear responses and action outcomes.

This session will discuss why C-suite engagement is essential, what must be considered when deciding on your transformation path, and how this decision can minimise risk while maximising value. We will also discuss how to enable your future vision through data driven business agility and maximising value from your data.

  • 4:45-5:05 | Customer: Finance Modernisation - from SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA Public Cloud Greenfield using Activate
    Adrian leads the delivery of corporate shared services to around 80,000 employees across 42 entities within the Queensland Public Service. He will discuss the Queensland Shared Services move from SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA Public Cloud, as part of their transformation and modernization program, including the issues they were facing, what they decided to do and their Guiding Principles, and why they took this particular approach instead of other paths and options.

Adrian Hudson

General Manager, Queensland Shared Services

Adrian has worked for the Australian Public Service for 23 years, including at the Senior Executive Service (SES) level for 11 years, working for 15 years in Darwin and 8 years in Canberra. He has broad senior leadership experience spanning shared services, corporate services, program management and service delivery.

Adrian’s key strength is in leading large and complex operational areas in shared services, service delivery and corporate contexts. His key leadership capabilities include building effective teams, delivering high quality results in difficult circumstances, and building enduring stakeholder relationships.

Richard Checketts

Managing Director, SNP ANZ

Richard Checketts is the Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at SNP Group, a global leader in enterprise data transformation. With over two decades of experience delivering complex SAP projects, Richard has held leadership roles at NTT Data, Zag and PwC Technology Consulting, and he has led large-scale transformation programs across the energy, government, and commercial sectors.

His hands-on knowledge of SAP systems, combined with a strong track record in operational delivery, allows him to guide organizations through their most critical transformation journeys—particularly the move to SAP S/4HANA. At SNP, Richard works closely with executive teams to align technology initiatives with business outcomes—helping reduce risk, accelerate time to value, and unlock agility through data-driven decision-making.

Dr Uwe Grigoleit

Senior Vice President Customer Evolution Program, SAP

Uwe Grigoleit is an experienced SAP executive leading the global SAP Customer Evolution team. He helps customers transition to the cloud, adopt new business models, and manage change. With a background in Sales and Development, Uwe played a key role in launching SAP S/4HANA and led Cloud ERP Marketing for 11 years. He holds a PhD in Chemistry and IT and is based in Zurich.
