As part of the Digital Business Plan, the Australian government has mandated e-invoicing (electronic invoicing) for all public sector Agencies by 1 July 2022. As a result, any business who is a supplier of a public sector agency will have to comply with a suitable e-invoicing system. However, this is the ‘tip of the iceberg’ in terms of impact this mandate will have on all Australian businesses.
