    Carl is based in Sydney, Australia and his entire career has specialised in Human Capital Management, from a number of years in front-line HR, to HR consulting in two major consulting firms and working with HR solutions for the last 20 years. Carl had more than fourteen years of senior pre-sales experience with SAP prior to transferring to SuccessFactors in 2012. His role is to develop value based strategies to deliver comprehensive value propositions and business content with clear ROI/TCO for SAP SuccessFactors prospects and customers.

    Ken is Senior Business Improvement Specialist for Caltex Australia with 37 years’ experience in the Building, Shipping, Transport and Oil Industries covering a range of both large and SME companies. A qualified Bachelor of Business from Swinburne University and Certified CPA, Ken is a well-regarded SAP user professional with over 21 years’ experience from R2 through to the ECC6 systems and experience in over 7 system upgrades. His specialisation has been in most areas of Finance, Sales and Distribution, Material Management, Reporting, ISOil and Project Management, together with associated interfaced and value add systems for the Corporate, International, Marketing and Manufacturing sectors. He has held various SAP focus roles including Super User, Trainer, Developer, Implementer and varying Financial Management, System stewardship, Change and Support Management roles.

    Tim joined SAP in 2010 and is the Executive General Manager for the Northern Region which includes New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory and Papa New Guinea. Tim leads an experienced and successful team including sales directors, account executives, pre-sales, industry and consulting professionals and is responsible for all go-to-market activities. In this capacity he works closely with customers, connecting SAP’s innovations with their modern challenges and opportunities. Throughout his career, Tim has worked and lived in the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia in a variety of business development, general management and consulting capacities. Prior to SAP, Tim worked for seven years at Ernst & Young in a variety of leadership roles covering consulting, sector leadership and business development. Tim also spent seven years at Thomson Reuters where his roles included Head of Strategy, European Sales Director and General Manager, Australia and New Zealand.

    Jack has been involved with the delivery of SAP at CS Energy for the last 4 years. With a background in ICT and other Line of Business application support, he is responsible for the development of strategic and tactical designs to support existing systems and future planned systems in a medium enterprise network including SAP, Financial and Line of Business Applications. Jack was part of the original project team for the implementation of SAP User Experience Monitoring at CS Energy and has continued to champion the product internally as well as driving continue use of SAP within the organisation. Currently studying Bachelor of Business in Information Systems, future goal is to pursue a Masters in Enterprise Resource Planning.

    Senior Director Workforce Management Solutions and Operations

    Jane has spent 29 years in the Public Service primarily focused on the HR service and systems delivery environment leading multi-disciplinary IT Service Management teams in Shared Services and Queensland Health. Jane has led both the delivery of significant multi-million dollar IT system programs and projects and also established IT organisation business support models that have ensured the effective transition of services from project to service operations. Jane’s most significant achievements revolve around the Queensland Health payroll repair agenda where she has led the stabilisation of the Queensland Health payroll solution and delivered a number of payroll improvement projects. Jane is an ITIL and Prince 2 practitioner and considered to be extremely effective leader focussed on developing high performing teams that deliver outcomes and value to the business. She is currently an Executive within Queensland Health performing the role of Senior Director, Workforce Management Solutions and Operations within Health Support Queensland. Jane is accountable for the ongoing support and maintenance of the Queensland Health rostering and payroll solutions along with leading the delivery of a significant program of work to continue the ongoing improvement of Queensland Health’s solutions and increasing the value proposition for the business in accordance with the Queensland Health vision and digital strategy.

    Agasthuri is a seasoned IT professional with over 17 plus years of progressive experience in the areas of system architecture, planning, development phase and production support in ERP based Implementation. He has worked with several multinational corporations in various countries as an expert in 15+ SAP Implementation. This includes phases of planning, analysis, blueprint, design, development, testing and support in various industries like retail, logistics, finance, health, payroll, energy, insurance, communication, manufacturing, supply chain, banking and pharmaceuticals. Agasthuri is a Member of the Moderator Council in SAP & International Focus Group for PI, as well as a SAP Mentor and one of the top contributors in SAP XI/PI on SAP Community Network (SCN)

    Steven joined PanAust Information Systems team in 2012. He has a broad range of experience across the metals and mining industries over the last 10 years. He first became involved in SAP through the implementation of SAP Environmental Compliance module for one of Australia’s largest steel manufacturers, BlueScope Steel. Since joining PanAust Steven has worked on the development of the business case, project implementation and now management of one of region's most contemporary SAP solutions, being amongst the first to implement Business Suite on HANA and FIORI.

    David is an experienced IT professional with in excess of 30 years IT experience including the last 20 working in the SAP ecosystem. David’s current position is Executive Director of the SAP University Competence Centre (Asia Pacific Japan) which is located at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. The UCC is one of 6 located at various locations globally with the sole purpose of providing SAP solutions using Private cloud services to Universities for teaching and research purposes. The University customers are members of the SAP University Alliance Program which has in excess of 2,500 members globally. David has also provided technical consultancy and project management services to 5 global SAP implementations. For the past 10 years David has been fully focused on delivering Technical Project and Support Services in Global SAP environments for companies including Rio Tinto, Syngenta AG and Roche Pharmaceuticals in both Australia and Switzerland.

    Transition Manager – Australian Payroll Tax Engine redesign

    Paul joined SAP Australia in February 2011 to take up a role in SAP AGS ANZ. Paul has undertaken many tasks across the SAP AGS function, including roles in Enterprise Support and the ANZ MCC. His current role sees Paul responsible for the roll out of the new SAP Australia Payroll Solution. Prior to joining SAP, Paul held several senior IT roles with large corporations, including IT Director (Asia Pacific) at Lexmark Australia, MIS Manager at Toshiba Australia, IM Operations Manager at Compaq, and National Systems Development and Consulting Manager for GE Information Services.

    Sarma Rajaraman was appointed Chief Information Officer of Brisbane City Council, the largest local government in Australia, in October 2013. In this role he leads the development and implementation of strategies for all ICT services in an organisation with diverse businesses and functions. Prior to his appointment at Council Sarma held the Chief Information Officer role at Aurora Energy and Genworth Financial, and has also been involved with various organisations as an advisory partner. He has 21+ years of experience across the energy, retail and financial services industry sectors. Labelled as a “Driver of Change” by The Australian, Sarma has been renowned for his successful efforts at cost optimisation and operational productivity. He has been responsible for the setup and execution of technology as a shared service model, where he managed to consolidate and integrate a number of federated IT departments and functions with common standards and processes.


    Michael Dines

    Chief Information Officer

    Michael commenced with Goodstart Early Learning in 2014 in the position of Chief Information Officer. Michael’s primary responsibilities include overall accountability for Goodstarts Information Systems and Technology strategy, and delivering those systems and processes necessary to support Goodstarts Strategic Plan and day to day business operations. Michael has demonstrated experience in providing Information System solutions that respond to business objectives and priorities across the Mining, Gas and Manufacturing industries. He has demonstrated capability to combine “IQ” and “EQ” to consistently deliver excellent business outcomes through the application of Information Systems and processes. In a career spanning the Royal Australian Air Force, BHP, Onesteel (now Arrium) and a short period contracting in the Oil and Gas sector Michael has developed a broad range of technical and management skills. Michael holds qualifications in Management Information Systems and Avionics (RAAF and Civil), and has a keen interest in exploring the practical use of technology to support the development of children and adolescents.

    Michael has over 17 years’ experience in the domains of data mining and predictive analytics, working in key roles for organisations such as BHP, Telstra, Coles, ANZ Bank and Airbus. SAP modules have been foundational for most of the data products that he has developed. His current focus is on building cost-effective, state-of-the-art machine learning solutions, leveraging an enterprise’s existing technology assets by marrying the old with the new. Michael has completed the Data Science specialization program at the Johns Hopkins University.
