SAUG Webinar: The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – what every ANZ SAP customer must know!

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was put in place to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU). The GDPR aims primarily to give control back to citizens and residents over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying regulation within the EU.

Australian and New Zealand customers may be effected by the GDPR especially when data is processed in the EU or if identifiable personal data of customers and vendors residing in the EU is processed in Australia/New Zealand. GDPR becomes enforceable from 25 May 2018 after a two-year transition period and is directly binding and applicable. Non-compliance may attract penalties of up to 4% of global revenue.

Join this SAUG Webinar where our SAP experts will provide an overview of what GDPR is and the most important things you must know as well as a focus on issues such as "Blocking and Deletion of personal data", what is considered "personal data" and "consent".
