Description:

SAUG is excited to be launching the first SAUG BTP (SAP Business Technology Platform) Special Interest Group. Although BTP has been discussed extensively in the Platforms & Technology SIG, our members have asked for a dedicated SIG to focus on this fast growing and innovative platform. This group will bring together a community including everyone from the business and strategic side to users and developers and will explore topics such as AI, Automation, Cross Functional Innovation, Building & Extending SAP Apps, Data & Analytics planning, Integrating & Connecting Landscapes, Processes and much more: limited only by imaginations.

Our first meeting will set the scene with an update on SAP's BTP roadmap as well as a kick-off discussion about our first major BTP initiative, the BTP Hackathon. Don’t miss out on these great opportunities to learn, network and see what others are doing. The agenda is:

  • Strategy & Roadmap session - SAP Business Technology Platform
This session will help you understand the SAP BTP Strategy, why BTP is the foundation of the Intelligent Enterprise, SAP technology partnerships, reference architectures and future direction. It will also look at fast growing new functionalities especially AI. Presented by: Rajeev Gollapudi, Chief Product Manager SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Labs India & Murali Shanmugham, SAP Technology Ambassador, Cloud Architect & Author, SAP

  • SAP BTP Update: A look at the new solution releases including BUILD Code, Vector Engine as well as what’s new in the analytics and planning space - Cathy McGurk, Head of Solution Engineering, SAP

  • BTP Hackathon - Kickoff session
In this exciting initiative, participants will be invited to submit use cases for SAP BTP, and the most viable cases with business benefits will be selected by an esteemed jury. The selected participants will be enabled and coached by SAP BTP experts and will have access to special resources. Finalists will show off their projects in a Demo Jam at the SAUG National Summit in August. The winners will receive recognition and rewards and the whole community will benefit from outstanding learnings from real use cases.
