    Alex is the Chief Architect and Delivery lead for SDO. He has more than 20 years’ experience dealing with SAP. He is looking to design a better Shared Services operation for the future to support up to 150k Users by 2022. Alex is passionate about SAP and what it can deliver to create a better future for the Federal Government of Australia. Alex is truly interested in understanding SAP’s own service delivery model.
  • Stephen Pearson

    Mr Stephen Pearson commenced as Chief Information Officer (CIO) in February 2018. As Defence CIO he is responsible for: • Ensuring Defence has a modern, dependable, secure and integrated single information environment which supports Defence’s business and military operations; • Providing strong leadership of the people and financial resources within the Group; and • Making a significant leadership contribution in relation to security, both for the Defence organisation and at a whole of government level. Prior to joining the Australian Public Service, Stephen’s career encompassed diverse industry sectors including mining services, supply and logistics, retail, airlines, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare and professional services. He has a strong record of success in developing and implementing IT strategies, operating models and technology solutions (digital, ERP) in complex global business environments. He is experienced with both centralised and distributed IT functions, and is an advocate of organisation change management to complement technology initiatives. After spending a number of years successfully delivering major business change initiatives at Air Canada, Qantas, Coles and Newcrest Mining, he was the global CIO of Orica during a time of great change in the industry and the organisation. He has also been an independent advisor to Toll Group, Ausenco and Oil Search leadership, supporting their respective transformation programs. Prior to joining Defence, Stephen was CIO and Head of Transformation at Lattice Energy. His vision for the future is for the successful delivery of effective, flexible, innovative and scalable ICT solutions and services to support our current and future integrated Defence capability to defend the country and its interests.

    Chris is a SAP Mentor and career technologist with over 14 years' experience working with SAP products. He has worked with a number of major organisations including retailers, manufacturing and government departments. He has an eye on emerging technologies and specialises in delivering Fiori design, architecture and development to large organisations. @chris_rae01

    Tim is a a delivery lead for D’alRae Solutions with over 10 years experience in the SAP ecosystem. He has worked across a variety of industries during this time with a predominant focus on SAP Retail. Tim has a keen interest in emerging technologies with a focus on user experience and delivering solutions by leveraging Fiori and SAP UI5 technologies.
  • Clint Vosloo

    Clint has almost 20 years of SAP Analytics and SAP Database & Technology experience. Since being actively involved in the first SAP IQ installation in South Africa back in 1997, he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience using SAP HANA, SAP IQ, SAP Data Services and the SAP BusinessObjects suite of products. He has been involved in many large-scale SAP Analytics and SAP Database & Technology implementations and is a globally-known and renowned keynote speaker who regularly presents at many of the major SAP conferences and local user group events and has sat on various panel discussions. In 2012, Clint was selected as Africa's first ever SAP Mentor. He is currently based in Australia and is the Managing Partner for APJ for EV Technologies, an SAP Partner and Authorised Education Partner in the SAP Ecosystem.
  • Chris Peck

    Executive General Manager, Public Services

    Chris is the Executive General Manager, Public Services, based in Brisbane. He joined SAP Australia in 2004 and has over 22 years’ experience in the SAP ecosystem. Chris has been an influential thought leader, providing many Corporations and Government agencies with sound strategic advice around maximising benefits from their business systems, with a focus on supporting the Australian Government’s policy initiatives and improving agency operational efficiency. Chris has vast experience from various roles in SAP including the Head of SAP Custom Development, to leading major transformation projects with customers while running the SAP Services Organisation across Australia and New Zealand. Most recently, Chris is focused on working with agencies on large business transformation projects, providing strategic advice as well as leveraging global expertise to ensure agencies have the right tools and resources to undertake large transformation projects. Prior to working for SAP, Chris was a key member of the SAP team within Deloitte, managing and running their SAP technical practice around Australia.
  • Pranay Lodhiya

    Chief Financial Officer

    Pranay is the CFO at the Bureau of Meteorology and commenced on 15 January 2018. He is an experienced executive and leader of people who has held senior roles in large and complex organisations facing significant challenges and led large scale transformations. Pranay has a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Auckland and a Masters of Business Administration from Massey University (New Zealand). He is also a CPA and a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and has held various senior positions within the University sector, including as Vice- President Finance/ CFO at La Trobe University. He has also held senior roles at The University of Melbourne and Victoria University. Prior to this, Pranay worked in the Health and Local Government sector in New Zealand.

    Marcus Scott has over 30 years of extensive business leadership and consulting experience in developing and offering effective SAP software solutions worldwide. After being the Vice President of all the strategic business units of SNP SE in the APAC region, he is now Managing Director of SNP Australia since March 2019.
  • Sharad Parasher

    Senior Business Process Consultant

    Sharad is a Senior SAP Business Process Consultant at SAP Australia with the focus on SAP Governance, Risk and Compliance and Security Solutions. He has more than 13 years of SAP experience, has certifications in SAP Security, SAP GRC and SAP Design thinking and has worked in Development and Consulting organizations within SAP. Sharad has hands on experience of multiple SAP products namely SAP Identity Management, SAP GRC (AC, PC, RM) SAP Business Integrity Screening and SAP Enterprise Threat Detection. Sharad has been working with SDO since April 2018 and leads the SDO SAP Security Stream.
  • Michael Karavas

    Director Single Touch Payroll Program Design

    Michael is a Director with the ATO; his current role is in design and implementation of the Single Touch Payroll program. Michael has over 25 years’ experience in tax administration with most of the last 20 years focusing on the implementation on new Government initiatives including the Minerals Resource Rent Tax, Tax Consolidations as well as working on the ATO Change Program. For the previous two years Michael was seconded to the Treasury where he was the policy lead on the development of Single Touch Payroll. Michael chairs the Single Touch Payroll Design Working Group which works collaboratively with a broad range of industry stakeholders on Single Touch Payroll design issues.
  • Mark Tempes

    At Microsoft, Mark is the Technical Sales Manager for Asia as part of the global Strategic Partnership Team. He leads a team of technical solution specialists who provide advisory for deploying SAP on Azure and Strategic Partnerships to Microsoft’s largest and most strategic customers. His team covers GCR, Japan, India, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. With over 19 years working experience in the SAP ecosystem, Mark held various leadership positions within a global system integrator. Working in ANZ/ Asia, his experience ranges from managing a SAP services practice, sales and go-to-market strategy to SAP innovation lead. Before that, Mark lived and worked in Europe as a SAP platform architect for a consulting organization focusing on large-scale SAP transformations for some of Europe’s biggest organizations. In 2018, he founded the SAP on Azure YouTube channel. As a public speaker, Mark frequently presents topics on cloud computing or SAP HANA and he has co-authored books discussing the various facets on deploying SAP applications on a hyperscale cloud.
  • Matthew Goss

    Matthew Goss is a management executive with extensive experience in establishing and managing operations for cloud-based technology companies. Matthew Goss has been Managing Director ANZ at Concur since 2013. He has been with the company for more than 14 years. Matthew has held several senior management positions including Country Manager - Concur Philippines, and Vice President Client Services Asia Pacific. Before joining Concur in 2002, Matthew was technical manager for Captura Software for two years and prior to that he worked as a senior IT consultant for Acumen Alliance (now known as Oakton Consulting technology). Matthew has been a board member of the Global Business Travel Association since 2011.
  • Greg Hill

    Throughout his career, Greg has held many IT based roles across a wide range of industries. Some of these industries include FMCG, Manufacturing, Retail and more recently Higher Education, and has mostly worked for businesses that have adopted SAP as their core ERP solution. With his working experience in the industry, and his background in earlier Finance roles, Greg has often worked alongside Business Executives to help them deliver their strategies, through the use of appropriate Business Applications and Architecture. Recently, Greg has started up his own consulting firm, and is working with companies to help them realise the benefits and challenges that lie ahead transforming to cloud based platforms. Greg can often be found presenting at user groups and conferences around the country, or delivering industry based lectures to students, presenting the lessons he learned whilst working in businesses that were on the leading edge of cloud technologies, and is passionate not only about the technology’s available, but also the ‘human’ side of these expansive transformational programmes, along with the ever increasing challenge of improving the overall user experience.
  • Nick Brown

    Professor of Allied Health Research

    Nick Brown is the Professor of Allied Health Research at the University of Canberra and the Director of the UC Clinical School. He works with colleagues in allied health at UC and Canberra Health Services to build research capability and develop research projects that seek to investigate practical solutions to health care challenges. Previously he was the Deputy Director for Research and Innovation at the Australian Institute of Sport and has work as a Podiatrist in Queensland and a researcher at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Utah.
  • Rohan Baxter

    Senior Director

    Dr Rohan Baxter is a Senior Director in Smarter Data at the Australian Taxation Office. He is currently the technical lead for the automation and artificial intelligence strategic initiative within the ATO. Prior to the ATO, he has held data science research and consulting positions in both government and industry in Australia and the U.S. He has developed data modelling solutions in domains such as space science, mineral exploration, disease surveillance and e-commerce.
