    Michael Hardy

Most of that has been on the periphery of the IT sector, with a clear focus on ERP training and performance support, over the past 13 years. Michael, and his team, work with systems implementers and organisational change managers to analysis, design, develop, deliver/implement and evaluate training and performance support programs. He is an enthusiastic champion of performance support, equipping workers to undertake tasks, giving them the tools they need to be effective and efficient. Within KBR, Michael is the Performance Support thought leader and evangelist.     Paul Hardy joined Heidelberg Cement in the UK in 1990. In 1997 a global SAP rollout came along; he jumped on board and has never looked back since, working on country-specific SAP implementations in the United Kingdom, Germany, Israel, and Australia. After starting off as a business analyst configuring the good old IMG, Paul swiftly moved on to the wonderful world of ABAP programming. After the initial run of data conversion programs, ALV reports, interactive DYNPRO screens, and (urrggh) SAPscript forms, he yearned for something more and since then has been eagerly investigating each new technology as it comes out, which culminated in him writing the SAP Press book “ABAP To The Future”. Paul become an SAP mentor in March 2017 and can regularly be found blogging away on the SCN site and has written a whole series of blogs comparing the merits of Object Orientated vs Procedural Programming. Paul invites you to come and have a drink with him at the networking event in the evening (or at any other event you see him) and ask him the most difficult questions you can think of, preferably about SAP.

She is also responsible for a major shared services initiative across federal government: the delivery and implementation of a Parliamentary Workflow System to 40 agencies by 2016.

    Alan is currently Director, IT strategy & planning for Canadian National Railway, and his responsibilities include the development and implementation of IT strategy, innovation, industry relations & business development, IT optimisation and IT marketing & communications. Before holding this position, Alan was Director, business services & supply chain technologies. Prior to that, Alan led a team of senior managers in delivering the business case and executive approval for CN’s $350M investment in modernisation of asset management processes and systems, using SAP; during which he led the change management program, project Integration and field deployment efforts. Alan was also the Project Director for CN’s $150M Service Reliability Strategy (SRS) project; the largest business and technology transformation program in Canadian railroading history, enabling CN to operate a Precision Railroad through re-tooling of core business processes and systems for rail yards, terminals, train operations, billing and customer service management. Alan founded and is Chairman of the SAP User Group for Rail, and is a guest lecturer at McGill, Concordia and Bishops universities.   • Hugh Durrant-Whyte

    Prof. Hugh Durrant-Whyte's research work focuses on robotics and distributed sensor networks. He has published over 350 papers has been awarded two Australian Research Council (ARC) Federation Fellowships. His work with industry includes major robotics and automation projects in cargo handling, surface and underground mining, defence, unmanned flight vehicles and autonomous sub-sea vehicles. He has also co-founded three successful start-up companies. Hugh has won numerous awards and prizes for his work including the ATSE Clunies Ross Award, IFR/IEEE Invention and Entrepreneurship Award, the NSW Pearcey Award, and four IEEE Best Paper prizes. He was named Professional Engineer of the year (2008) by the Institute of Engineers Australia Sydney Division and NSW Scientist of the Year (2010). He is an IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Distinguished Lecturer (2006-10). He is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (FTSE), a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (FIEEE), a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science (FAA), and a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS).

    Paul Young is the Global Vice President for Strategic Customers in the Platform Solutions Group at SAP. In that role he works with customers across the world that are experiencing or creating significant change, using the SAP Real Time Data Platform. Paul has been with SAP for 15 years, with experience in the development, professional services, sales and executive customer support teams. He was part of the launch team for HANA and the formation of the Database and Technology organization. Paul is exclusively focused on the unique capabilities it brings to major customers like Adobe, Apple, John Deere, HP and Verizon. Prior to SAP, Paul was an SAP customer for 7 years at Hewlett Packard in Scotland, Germany and the United States. He was part of the team that setup the World Wide Shared Services organization and deployed SAP globally. Part of that time was spent on assignment with SAP helping to develop the core R/3 product.

Shaun’s current focus is on building the “2020” Business Analytics Vision and Supporting Architecture for Energex and Ergon Energy while also providing strategic advice and guidance to the analytics projects that are currently underway within both organisations. At Woolworths, Ashutosh has been in the integration space for around 5 years and in last 2 years has been working on SAP Solution Manager, and is presently managing SAP Solution Manager initiatives in Woolworth’s. His responsibilities include socialising SAP Solution Manager capabilities to senior managers and implementing Solution Manager’s components. This has given him an extensive hands on experience on most of the Solution Manager components like BPCA, BPMon & BPA, System Monitoring, DCM, DVM, EUXM.

    Gary Xu has been with SAP Solution Market Introduction team for 7 years and as the regional program manager worked on SAP new solutions’ rollout and support. Prior to this post, he worked in various positions in SAP including Support Team Lead in AGS Primary Support; Support Team Lead in Customer Interaction Centre and business operation lead in SAP Labs. Before SAP he worked in General Electric China as a Six Sigma Black belt.

  • Ross Cunningham

    Group Manager – Business Critical Systems

    Ross is responsible for the sales strategy and execution for HP’s large scale enterprise class servers which encompass the HANA Converged Systems range. His focus is to support SAP HANA with innovative business computing solutions supported over the longer term by HP’s Project Odyssey which is all about bringing mission critical capability to the industry standard X86 market. He is part of a committed management team whose prime objectives are to provide the best customer focused services and support whilst continuing HP’s strong momentum in server and infrastructure business. Ross began his business systems career with NCR some 40 years ago working across a variety of sales and sales management roles in the ensuing period. His experience encompasses South East Asia, Aust and NZ driving sales of packaged software and complete hardware solutions, with an emphasis on converged infrastructure dating from the ‘70’s. Ross joined HP in 2011 moving from Oracle Corporation who had acquired the former Sun Microsystems the previous year. He spent the previous 10 years with Sun Microsystems working within the Telstra account. In his time at HP some major customers have recommitted to the HP SAP HANA solutions as their preferred infrastructure platform, recognising its highly available capabilities and business critical resilience.

    Rob is responsible for SAP’s Enterprise Social Collaboration solution (SAP Jam) in Asia. Rob has over 20 years’ experience working with global and local companies in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the USA.

    Richard has 10 years of mobile solution experience in natural resources, energy and utilities, logistics, retail and travel industries and is currently focused on delivering mobile strategy and mobile app solutions in Australia. He has worked with natural resource leaders including, BP and INPEX; energy and utility groups, AGL and Sydney Water and commercial industrial companies such as CHEP and Otis Elevators.
