SAP Sapphire 2025
Unrivaled, Unmatched, Unparalleled
At SAP Sapphire 2025 in Orlando, the strategic importance of user communities was front and centre, with SAP leaders reaffirming their commitment to engaging directly with customers and user groups to drive meaningful innovation. Global user group representatives, including Geoff Scott, CEO of ASUG, were acknowledged for their critical role in ensuring that the voice of SAP users remains embedded in SAP’s direction and development.
SAUG CEO Karen Zwissler commended the ongoing collaboration and leadership from SAP executives such as Thomas Saueressig and Jan Gilg, who highlighted the essential role of user communities in shaping innovation. The Sapphire agenda featured more executive exchanges and opportunities for deep dive innovation enablement, further strengthening the ties between SAP and its global ecosystem.
On stage, the momentum for customer-led transformation continued with a keynote from Katrin Lehmann, Group CIO of Mercedes-Benz, who joined Thomas Saueressig to present the company’s Radical Standardization strategy. Mercedes-Benz is systematically executing this strategy through a tool-driven approach that leverages RISE with SAP for comprehensive business transformation.
SAP Sapphire also brought to light a number of partnerships designed to accelerate intelligent enterprise transformation. These include SAP’s collaboration with Accenture through the “Advance” initiative, which supports customers with scalable services and fast-tracked AI integration. Additional announcements spotlighted SAP’s work with Google Cloud, AWS, Palantir, Perplexity, and Cohere—expanding SAP Business AI capabilities through advanced tools for data integration, agent-based systems, developer support, and AI-powered user experiences.
