SAUG Solutions Series: S/4HANA Readiness 101 - organise your SAP data and connect SAP apps with Office 365 personal productivity tools

Terabytes of historical SAP transactional data can build up over years of running SAP business applications. It makes no sense to move all that historical data to the new S/4HANA system. Take the data you need, archive the data that is ready to be read only, and dispose of the data you can legally remove. It’s ‘cleaning house’ before you move and providing the leanest, most responsive S/4HANA system to your business that you can.

Not only will archiving greatly assist a smooth transition to S/4HANA, it also lays the foundation for a better content management system, one that links SAP processes and data with the personal productivity tools of Microsoft Office 365. Microsoft provides great collaboration tools – from SharePoint to use as an intranet, to Teams which many of us use for our daily meetings and informal chats – how can we extend these tools to have access to content from your business processes running in SAP?

In this session we will hear how it is possible to let people work in the leading business system most appropriate to them (whether SAP or Microsoft); yet still have visibility of (and collaborate on) the same content – making it easy for your business to have access to the data they need, when they need it.
